First $2 Billion Home
Please someone tell me who would ever need this kind of ridiculous size home. Aren't there millions of starving children in India that could use about one billionth of that money and live for the rest of their lives. Lakeway is a booming area and with so many people wanting to move here the prices just continue to rise. It is rare to find a new custom home in Lakeway for under $500K. Open Houses
Does an open house really sell a property? Most agents believe an open house is merely for attracting buyers that they can hopefully pick up as clients. I read an article in Realtor magazine that gives the opinion of several agents around the country who say that an open house can generate interest in the home, show interested buyers they have competition and attract the attention of impulse buyers. Eventually this will bring your buyer. Please read the article at the link below. I'm leaning towards both opinions. Since I've seen it happen both ways I would have to agree with the belief it brings buyers, gives feedback to the sellers about features and price and eventually can sell the home. In the current market any exposure is good exposure.
