Does an open house really sell a property? Most agents believe an open house is merely for attracting buyers that they can hopefully pick up as clients. I read an article in Realtor magazine that gives the opinion of several agents around the country who say that an open house can generate interest in the home, show interested buyers they have competition and attract the attention of impulse buyers.
